Insurance

JLT Sport provide a range of insurance cover for Junior Football Clubs through its Australian Football National Risks Program in conjunction with the AFL and separate insurance cover taken out by CJFC. Some of the insurance cover is paid via our subscription to the Yarra Junior Football League and some paid directly by the club. The philosophy of CJFC is to provide the best insurance cover possible for our people through the program offered by JLT Sport. In keeping with this philosophy you will see below that CJFC has the highest level of player insurance that is available to us.

Information provided on this page is to ensure that everyone at the club, and third parties that we deal with, are fully aware of the insurance cover CJFC has, can make claims when the need arises and are comfortable that all our insurances are up-to-date.
 
Asset Protection Insurance
Canterbury Junior Football Club has purchased asset protection insurance that provides cover for a variety of business risks. A summary of the Asset Protection Insurance cover is located here.
 
 
Club Management Liability Insurance
Club Managament Liability cover is incorporated within the Australian Football National Risks Program. The basic level cover for this program, which incorporates Club Management Liability, is povided by the YJFL via our subscription to the Yarra Junior Football League. General Public and Products Liability Insurance

Player insurance

Canterbury Junior Football Club has purchased the maximum level of player insurance available to us through the Australian Football National Risks Program in conjunction with the AFL . The level of cover is Platinum. A summary of the cover is located here.
 
 
Accident Procedure

  1. Accidents resulting in injuries are to be report by the team manager to the club secretary within 24 hours of the time of the accident. The report must be completed by the team manager on the Injury Report Form
  2. If an insurance claim is to be made the injured child's parents must arrange for the completion and lodgement of the AFL Personal Accident Report Form as soon as possible within 180 days of the injury being sustained. If there are any problems with this please contact the club secretary.
  3. Information regarding lodgement of claims is available from the the insurer JLT Sport.
  4. The club secretary will report the injury and claim to the Canterbury Junior Football Club Management Committee as soon as practicable.
